Well I started working the steps yesterday or step one I should say. I am also taking suggestions that I never heard before. Actually I think sometimes I am so busy running my fricking mouth that I miss a lot. One of the guys from Valley Hope Treatment Center told me yesterday when he was here to shut off the cell phone. He said that all the years he has known me that I always have it on and it seems like it is always ringing during the meeting which takes me out of what I might need to hear. Amazing that I actually went to the meeting this morning and left my phone at home. The guy was there this morning before he took off back to Kansas, and I let him know that I left it at home. One thing that I noticed also today...is that a guy started to talk about death and not actually seeing anyone die. Well I had to leave, started to cry, cause I have seen death! I was there for 26 hours after they took off the ventilator for my Sister, and watched her take her last breath. I left...and I know that I should have stayed but I really didn't want anyone to see my emotions today. Well thanks for helping me to stay sober and clean today!

Glad to see you are again going to work on the steps.
Have you started that "Time Line" of the progression yet for step 1? That just might help you to this this construct your foundation (Step 1) in concrete and granite instead of sand. Will talk to you soon, probably the weekend when your minutes are 'free.' Love and hugs,

![]() Thanks for the support everyone! I sure hope I have another recovery left in me George! OMG I sure hope that it is possible. Laurie I called cause I was wanting to know the directions again on that time line thing that you told me about, I don't think that I got it down right...so I wanted to get started on that. I did complete on paper the Step 1 through my counseling that I go too. I meet with both my substance abuse counselor and my Nut Doctor Wednesday and I meet with my counselor every week and my Nut Doctor every two weeks. So that is keeping me accountable also. I do my meetings and of course I do like my Happy Hour meeting that meets everyday. I have been also going to the morning meeting at times. Sometimes it is always talking about sex so I think it is just cause a lot of these old timers like the looks of these gals but I feel uncomfortable even though that is pretty much the core of my disease I think.I have been hanging out a lot with my close mouth friend also. He did join here his user name is slamdrunkard I think or something like that. He don't know how to do a lot when it comes to posting and things. I am sure he has been in the arcarde room after I showed him it. Well I suppose here I am rambling like always LMAO somethings don't change |

Time line of your using and drinking.
Go back to the earliest incident you can remember. Write down date (year) what happened, etc. Then the next one, and so on. What you will get is THE PROGESSION in black and white on paper. Something concrete to show you your 'powerlessness' and your life becoming unmanageable. This will go a long way in helping you to build the 'foundation' (starting with Step 1) in concrete and granite instead of in sand. This will help to get to the very CORE of your being your powerlessness. This will help you to surrender once and for all. Love and hugs,

Well today makes 15 days! WHOOO HOOOOO the longest I have had since trying this deal again, and yet I know better than to celebrate too much. I am happy though. I just got done with my counseling session, been sick here the past few days and didn't want to wait for a hour before I met with my Doc so I got that next week. I am going home now and resting. Not feeling well but very happy.
Oh yeah I heard a new saying well or I took it that way on TV when a guy was talking I got this.... Easy is knowing that there is a solution Pretty profound for my peebrain.

![]() Well not easy! But it is doable so far so good. I have erased all numbers for awhile now but of course I get them still texting and calling. So far I haven't picked up the phone. Also today makes day 2 off of Pot as well...still am not sure about that...although I have noticed my behavior with it and that isn't good at all. More to work on I suppose. So today makes what? Day 18? Whatever it makes I continue to keep working on things. I started my Time-Line this morning before coming to the library. It is hard cause a lot of my childhood I don't remember although I do know that I drank. And to say that I didn't drink would be a lie. I went to a place here that has like a recreation center for the handicapped I thought that might help but I feel that it probably isn't for me. That is OK. I just wanted a place to be around people cause I am not feeling very secure yet. That goes with the early stages of recovery. I have been doing my meetings and I went this morning to the morning meeting but no one was there. I went back home and did dishes, took out the trash, and gave Chance some loving. LOL I wouldn't make it without him. He is my Hope ![]() Well I have to do a few things. Not sure why I am in such a rush to not sit here at the library. I am given a hour and yet I find myself leaving after about 1/2 hour or so. Not sure what that is all about. I could do a lot of things here |

Well I talked with our friend here Laurie last night for quite awhile on the phone. We had a very good conversation about getting step one done right this time. I did some listening...I asked her for some suggestions...and things are moving a long pretty well.
I did smoke a couple hits here yesterday of Pot. Not still too sure about that, but yet I know that it has to go as well. I just have to stay focused right now on staying away from that meth and coke and crap cause I know how I am when I get on that and the progression that they talk about is nothing compared to the nightmare that I was living in. I know that I am NUTS! I am here at the library today again. And this time I have done a few things here on the computer too pass the time. I have Chance out in the car. He is such a special dog I have a recent picture of him...and a ugly picture of grouchy Vic LOL

Ahhhh look at Chance!! To cute, now why so grumpy looking? You should be celebrating (in a healthy way of course! LOL), you'll get rid of the pot to, it's your last vice your holding onto out of fear I suspect but you'll get that under control to as ya just don't need it.... now what I would give to have that time in the library. My gosh the things you can learn... go find a new hobby, interest, story, I LOVE libraries. I could be quite content visiting daily. Study something you've always wanted to study and master it! *hugs ya friend*
