beginning to SeekYeJoy

For years I've made pictures with this expression, Seek Ye Joy, and today I finally got the message.... I should Seek Joy... me. I should get sober and look for some of that real joy in life. So here I am. Seeking Joy. SeekYeJoy. Yes, that is me. I need new ways of being happy, because really, truthfully, booze is not working anymore. I'm totally new at this "on line" stuff, but cannot imagine going to a "real life" meeting. This is as good as it gets... Help!

Welcome to our community. My name is Mary, and I am an alcoholic and drug addict that has been in recovery since Aug 21 2007.
Online support is an excellent supplement to any program but nothing beats face to face meetings. Continue to come here and read through the forums, hopefully you will soon feel comfortable enough to attend a face to face meetings.

Glad to have you here with us..We found found joy happiness and peace on this journey.
I love coming herre as well as F2F where i get to see that joy in the face of others and I get to give it as well. I hope you get to expereince that gift

Hello and welcome! So glad you are here. I totally understand about seeking online support it's how I started out as well as was to shy to try anything else but eventually it got me out for more face to face support. So please stop by often ask questions and keep coming back! *hugs*
