Like a tree growing with all the steps of the branches developing simultaneously throughout the perennial plant's lifetime, so the steps of recovery are a journey of expanding horizons, knowledge and application.
Tomorrow cannot come without today and yesterday. So too the steps build into a seamless structure of recovery. To paraphrase a favorite meditation: 'Each day well lived can make yesterday a dream of serenity and tomorrow a vision of hope.'~ Fellow author Bill K.

Today we will engage in possibility thinking. The ability to grasp the concept that all things are possible. To not put limitations on our abilities and to reach beyond our grasp. We realize that the goals we set for ourselves border on the impossible. And we have faith that God will fullfill His promises and make the impossible possible. Know when you step out on Faith that...

Sometimes when you go through a period of great difficulty and struggle, it is so that you can finally realize what you do NOT want in your life. Then finally, at long last, you can embrace what you DO want.

For it is the inalienable right of all life to choose their own evolution and with great Love I acknowledge your right to determine your future. In humility I bow to the Realization that the way I see as best for me does not have to mean it is also right for you. I know that you are led as I am, following the inner excitement to know your own path. ~Sandy Stevenson on Unconditional Love.

Only when you have looked into your past can you ever truly walk away freely from it and consciously be in the present.
Only when you know that you are here in the present can you begin to read the directions that lead to the future. Only when the past and present merge harmoniously and become one can you truly have faith in your future. by: Emma Sims: Holistic Therapist & Reiki Master

When the demons within have scared you enough, when they have hurt you enough and the pain is to great; fear sets in and the battle begins. A battle you are capable of winning with all the courage at your command.~C.

Before recovery I had lost sight of myself, soul and spirit. I was and to some degree still remain (minutely) a people pleaser. I needed acceptance and others approval for self validation because I was lost, very lost. But as the 24 hours clicked by I worked like a fiend on myself and my recovery, like that cocoon that emerges into a butterfly I found myself transforming...read more at: Sober Beauty | Sober Spirit

I have many ways in which I walk through my recovery. I think we all are entitled to embrace a belief system that works. My way is not your way, my way is not the right way, your way may be different and I will respect it, but as long as there is faith in ones belief and it works I say please don't judge each other for what works their way!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

“I used to spend so much time reacting and responding to everyone else that my life had no direction. Other people's lives, problems, and wants set the course for my life. Once I realized it was okay for me to think about and identify what I wanted, remarkable things began to take place in my life.”
― Melody Beattie, The Language of Letting Go
